Nursing, as a profession, has got unifying ethos, while assessing the patients, nurses do not only consider the test results. The profession involves critical thinking that is often demonstrated in the nursing process. In most cases, nurses apply their judgment to incorporate subjective data with objective data. Today, nurses are required to adhere to the evidence-based practices to ensure that they discharge their duties in line with the required standards. In the nursing schools, nurses are trained on critical thinking which enables them discharge their duties with high level of critical thinking.

There is a need to offer attention to environmental vs. physical conditions, including family caregivers, efficient transitions, and continuity of care. Besides, the patient experiences are indicators used to evaluate and improve quality of care, majorly internal care improvements. Normally, experienced nurses have different technical abilities to give effective care and enhance the quality of treatment process. With long period of their involvement in the nursing practices, they are able to recognize different factors that ought to be incorporated in the general care process to enhance quality patient outcomes.
